About
I've been doing hair in Ogden for 8 years. I opened Soleil in 2020 because I wanted to do fewer clients better — and that's still how I operate.
I went to cosmetology school right out of high school because I already knew this was what I wanted to do. I spent my first few years at a commission salon, which was a great education — busy, fast, all kinds of clients and hair types. But eventually I wanted more space to do the work properly.
I trained in color theory at a Redken education center in Salt Lake and spent a year obsessing over balayage technique specifically. It's still my favorite thing to do — there's so much craft in how you place light to make color look like it grew that way.
Soleil is a solo studio, which means I see fewer clients per week but give each one more time and attention. My calendar is usually booked a few weeks out but I always have a waitlist if you want to get on it.
A real consultation
Every new client starts with a conversation. I want to know your hair history, what you've tried, what's worked, what hasn't. Color especially — I need to understand what's happened before I can plan what happens next.
Honest expectations
If what you want isn't achievable in one session, I'll tell you that upfront. I'd rather take you somewhere great over two appointments than rush something that damages your hair.
One stylist, start to finish
I don't hand you off to an assistant for your blowout. I do the whole appointment. It takes a little longer but you leave knowing exactly what you paid for.
